"I believe that a physician specialist has a duty to educate and advise, as well as to work together with the patient to jointly develop the appropriate medical course of action. Despite the many governmental and third party influences, ultimately the patient, with the aid of the physician, should control their healthcare. After all, pain and suffering, whether daily or cyclically is a very personal thing. It is therefore critical to be compassionate, and caring. In my many teaching and leadership roles, I try to impart this philosophy on my peers."

Dr. Bethel is an OB/GYN and past chairman of the Davajan-Cabal Center for Perinatal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital, the fastest growing perinatal center in Los Angeles. He graduated from and now is a clinical professor of OB/GYN at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. As part of his practice, he has honed his skills to provide his patients exceptional medical care in infertility, and advanced GYN surgery. He also specializes in minimally invasive surgery.

In addition to being elected as a Medical Executive Officer for the Good Samaritan hospital, Dr. Bethel has recently formed a private, multi-specialty group- Becka Healthcare, where in addition to working with multiple specialties, he works closely with a certified nurse midwife.
